Ignite Scholarship

The Ignite Scholarship program aims to provide one promising and deserving Fraser Valley student (Surrey/Langley) the opportunity to pursue and advance their academic endeavors while also acquiring the necessary work experience to ensure they are successful as they transition into their professional business careers. We are looking for a business-oriented student who has demonstrated a commitment to their studies while also being actively involved as a leader in their community.

The ideal scholarship recipient will be able to demonstrate the four following characteristics:

Commitment: The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a diverse background of strengths and an ability to commit to academic studies, sports/extra-curricular activities, and work or volunteerism.

Leadership: The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of leadership within their peer group and community. The candidate should be able to demonstrate that their commitment to leadership will continue throughout their studies, summer internships and following graduation.

Adaptability: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated that despite financial adversity they have found ways to adapt to their circumstances, have overcome obstacles and have acquired the necessary skills and learning habits to prepare themselves for full time post-secondary studies.

Passion: The ideal candidate must demonstrate a passion for business and giving back to their community. Upon graduation the successful candidate will passionately pursue their field of study and aim to enrich their community through business and social outreach.

The Ignite Scholarship recipient will receive a full four-year paid tuition as well as summer internships at several local businesses and ongoing mentorship throughout their studies.

Our aim is to ensure that the Ignite Scholarship recipient receives the academic and professional experience necessary to be fully prepared to make a positive impact in business and their community when they have completed their undergraduate business degree.
