Ryan O’Shea

Ryan O’Shea was a high school teacher in the Surrey school district for six years before moving into residential construction in 2015 and he is currently the Vice President of Miracon Developments; an award-winning single and multi-family builder in the Fraser Valley. Ryan is committed to ensuring Miracon builds and sustains a legacy that is anchored in creating exceptional quality homes and the most compelling customer service experience. In his free time, Ryan is a passionate Board member of the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation and President of Boxing BC. Ryan also serves as Co-Chair of the Homebuilders Association of Vancouver Government Relations Committee. In 2020 Ryan was named by Business in Vancouver as one of the top forty business people under 40 years of age in Vancouver.

Darian Kovacs

Darian is the founding partner of the award-winning Digital Marketing and PR firm known as Jelly. If you didn’t already know, Darian brings unparalleled charisma and excitement to the brands that he popularizes (is yours one of them?). Known for off-the-wall ideas and fantastic stories, Darian’s energy keeps the Jelly bus rolling down fun and fabulous roads.

Ryan Moreno is more than an industry leader - he is an industry champion, growing a single restaurant into a collective hospitality group, including an impressive list of restaurants, Public Houses, Liquor Outlets, Private-label beer & wine, and a Hotel. Ryan has grown Joseph Richard Group exponentially - including more than 25 unique locations and plans to expand even further. Never satisfied, Ryan continues to push the boundaries of the hospitality industry and what it means to provide excellent customer service to his customers.

Mike Sweeney

Mike began his teaching career in 2004 when he joined the staff at Fleetwood Park Secondary; for the past four years he’s been a Vice Principal at Clayton Heights Secondary and Princess Margaret Secondary. During his time as an educator, Mike has been heavily involved in Athletics organizations in Surrey and the Fraser Valley in addition to coaching basketball. He is a passionate advocate for students and excited to be a part of the Ignite Scholarship.
